Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten

Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, alternatively known as Nyizergang Chorten or Punakha Zangdopelri is a stupa located in Punakha district of Bhutan. It is constructed in 2004 under the guidance of Her Majesty The Queen Mother, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuk. This stupa stands in Nyizergang, about 30 minutes uphill walk from the footbridge in Yepaisa Village. This stupa was built following the instructions of Lopon Sonam Zangpo to promote global peace and remove obstacles for Bhutan.
From this Chorten, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of surrounding landscape that includes lush rice terraces and traditional Bhutanese villages of Punakha valley, graceful Mo Chhu River and magnificent backdrop of the forested hills.
